I live in Connecticut and did a lot of research on breeders with the goal of buying local. After narrowing it down, I reached out to Renee - and let's be honest, the internet is full of horror stories about scams and poorly bred kittens, so that first message is never easy to send. But from my very first conversation with Renee, I felt completely at ease. The entire process was smooth and transparent - she sent photos and videos throughout.
I made the drive up to New Hampshire to pick him up, and Samson was even more stunning in person than in any photo. We finalized everything, and I headed home with my blue-eyed boy and a bag of goodies to make the transition easy.
That was two and a half years ago, and Renee is still part of our lives. She's stayed in regular contact, checking in on Samson like the loving breeder she is. I can't thank her enough for making the whole experience so seamless and for raising such a healthy, happy boy. If you're looking for a Maine Coon from someone who genuinely cares (not just at pickup, but for life) look no further. You won't find a more devoted person.

After our last "alley cat" passed, we wanted a cat that would never remind us of our petite little Jazzy. Since I have a sister in law who breeds Persians, I contacted her as I knew she would know a quality breeder.
Without hesitation, she recommended Renee! Shortly after that I contacted Renee and we had a long conversation about the breed , care, our home and
lifestyle, etc. I knew immediately she was who we would work with. Many conversations later and after completing an application and being approved, we ultimately welcomed to our home not only Vincent, but Paisley Mae (a Persian Turkish Angora) too! She was not part of the breeding program, but rather a dear and beloved pet, who needed a fresh start in a quieter space where she could "become"! Why do I tell you this, because one of Renee's most honorable qualities, is her ability to always put the animal's needs first - even when it is difficult to do so.
Fast forward to today, 4 years later and we have continued our friendship and gone on to adopt another Maine Coon - Bentley from Renee!
In these 4 years, our friendship has continued and I consider Renee family! She is always available for advice, consultation or guidance. And of course, just checking in to see how the cats are. She is an invaluable wealth of knowledge!
Make no mistake about it, Renee runs her cattery with pride and integrity and provides these beautiful creatures with immeasurable amounts of love and care. She recognizes that these babies are not commodities! They are beloved family members. She is their second mom! And when the time comes to send them off to their forever homes, new families benefit from the tender loving care she has provided them along with the safe and controlled environment they are nurtured in.
I am honored to call Renee Rocheleau my friend and I would wholeheartedly recommend her breeding program to anyone considering welcoming a Maine Coon cat into their home. She is, hands down, the best of the best!

I'd definitely recommend Renee if you're looking for a Maine Coon breeder. You can tell she genuinely cares about her cats and puts a lot of time and effort into raising them the right way.
Her cats are beautiful, healthy, and have really good personalities.
She's also super helpful and easy to talk to if you have questions, and she actually cares about where her kittens are going. You can tell this isn't just a business to her - she really loves the breed and takes good care of her animals.
I live in Texas and Renee met me at the Boston Airport to deliver Cowboy to me. I can't imagine life without him! He's so regal (and a goof at the same time) pic included:

Isn't it easy to tell that this baby is spoiled? The truth is, she has been spoiled since Day 1 because she has the best breeder you can ever imagine. I still remember the day we went to pick up Nanami, who clung to her because she trusted her so much, and she had no idea those two "kidnappers" were going to continue spoiling her under Renée's careful and patient guidance!
Renée is such a responsible caretaker of all her cats and kittens. She always tries her best to find great parents for these babies because she doesn't see them as commodities for sale, but as precious little miracles looking for sweet, forever homes. She respects animals in general and is genuinely grateful for the very existence of cats on this planet, just like all cat lovers. My husband and I had admired Maine Coons for years, and now that Hennessy is part of our family, we can honestly say these cats have exceeded every expectation. Hennessy is absolutely stunning, but what impresses us most is his temperament. He is calm, confident, and has an incredible presence about him. He loves being wherever we are and is happiest simply sharing the room with us. He gets along wonderfully with our other cat and our three small dogs, and he brings so much joy to our home.
